The incoming Tisza Party government will release the files on the communist-era state security apparatus, Péter Magyar, the prime minister-elect, said on Facebook on Thursday.
He also said his party’s MPs would not move into the Parliament Office Building, which he described as “the former headquarters of the AVH [secret police] and the Hungarian Socialist Workers’ Party”.
Bálint Ruff, the incoming head of the Prime Minister’s Office, told Válasz Online in an interview on Wednesday that making the “agent files” public as soon as possible would be one of his first tasks.
