Some northern districts of Bács-Kiskun County and certain southern districts of Pest County remain under a second-degree (orange) alert due to the risk of persistent freezing rain.
On Tuesday morning, HungaroMet Zrt. issued a second-degree (orange) alert for certain districts in Tolna and Baranya counties due to the risk of freezing rain.

As the precipitation zone moves northeast, a second-degree alert has been issued first in Bács-Kiskun, then in Csongrád-Csanád, and finally in Pest counties, while the alerts issued for the counties of Baranya, Tolna, and Csongrád-Csanád were withdrawn.

Persistent freezing rain lasting several hours is expected in the affected counties, with precipitation exceeding one millimeter.

Based on reports, the intense precipitation zone bringing mixed precipitation will gradually move northeastward by midnight, bringing 6-11 centimeters of snow to the flatlands of northeastern Transdanubia, Pest County, and the western half of the North Central Mountains, with smaller areas receiving over 11 centimeters and mountainous areas receiving around 15 centimeters or more of snow.

As the precipitation moves northeast, it may turn into freezing rain, sleet, and then rain.

Significant amounts of freezing rain are expected in the central part of the country, especially in the western part of Bács-Kiskun, and possibly in some areas of Pest and Fejér. In the North Central Mountains, freezing rain may occur in some places from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning.
