Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad- Bissessar on Saturday lashed out at former regional leaders including Guyana’s Donald Ramotar over a statement they issued accusing the US of economic warfare on Cuba.
Persad-Bissessar told the Trinidad Express that the former leaders would not have been able to issue such a statement if they had been living in Cuba.
The Trinidad PM’s attack is a sign that Tues-day’s CARICOM Heads of Government Summit in St Kitts-Nevis – which Persad-Bissessar is attending – will struggle to arrive at a common position on the dire situation in Cuba.
