Thousands report Amazon outages: DownDetector

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Thousands of users reported outages with multiple Amazon services on Thursday.

Over 20,000 Amazon users, along with thousands of Amazon Web Services and Prime Video users, reported outages around 2:30 p.m., according to DownDetector.

DownDetector’s outage map showed hotspots in major cities around the U.S.

New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle were all included.

The majority of reported issues stem from the checkout process at 55%. Roughly one-third of issues were reported for product pages and the mobile app.
