The Skills to Access the Green Economy (SAGE) programme is pleased to announce the launch of a new SAGE Learning Hub and Network Hardware at the T A Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) on 15 December 2025, and a SAGE Learning Hub at the New Life Organisation (Newlo) on 16 December 2025.
These initiatives are designed to expand digital learning opportunities, strengthen access to technology, and support the Caribbean’s transition toward a greener, more sustainable future.
Made possible through the generous support of the Government of Canada, this significant milestone reflects a shared commitment to enhancing inclusive, future-ready education throughout the region.
The SAGE Learning Hub, Network Hardware, and smart classrooms, already established in other locations, represent a forward-thinking model of teaching and learning. By integrating interactive digital tools and flexible learning environments, SAGE is equipping learners with the green and digital competencies required to excel in a rapidly evolving global economy.
“The SAGE Learning Hub, Network Hardware and smart classrooms represent a transformative leap forward in how we learn, and connect sustainability to skills development,” said Pat Bidart, Senior Technical Advisor (STA) for the SAGE programme. “With the invaluable support of the Government of Canada, we are helping learners across the Caribbean develop the green competencies and digital readiness needed to thrive in tomorrow’s workforce.”
Beyond institutional learning, the newly launched Hubs are intended to empower surrounding communities. The equipment and facilities will provide free access to community members, offering a safe and dedicated space where individuals can use computers for educational purposes, including participation in online learning and other professional development opportunities. This community-centred approach ensures that the benefits of digital and green learning extend beyond the classroom.
Through initiatives such as the SAGE Learning Hub, the SAGE programme continues to lead regional transformation in technical and vocational education. Each launch supports the integration of STEM education, green learning pathways, and inclusive digital access, ensuring that all learners, especially women and youth, are equipped to navigate and contribute to an increasingly green global economy.
The launch events at TAMCC and Newlo will welcome students, educators, community leaders, and partners to celebrate this important advancement in education and sustainable development.
