Notice: Sunken vessel in St George’s outer harbour

Notice to fishers and mariners

Exercise extreme caution near a submerged vessel in the St George’s Outer Harbour. Fishing vessel Little Desrine F2 sank after a fire on board on 16 July 2026. Reported position: 12°03.403’N, 1061°45.521’W. Minimum clearance above wreck: 2.74 metres (9 feet).

Navigation Hazard

The submerged wreck may cause vessel damage, fishing gear entanglement, or other safety risks. Maintain a safe distance and remain vigilant when operating in or transiting through the Outer Harbour. Use particular caution when trolling, travelling to fishing grounds, setting or retrieving fishing gear, operating at night or in reduced visibility, or navigating deeper-draft vessels.
