GTA vacancy: Corporate Secretary | NOW Grenada

The Board of Directors of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) invites suitably qualified professionals to apply for the position of Corporate Secretary.

This role provides strategic governance support to the Board of Directors, ensuring full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and public‑policy requirements while upholding the highest standards of corporate governance.

Work Location: Hybrid (Office/Remote)

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Governance Leadership: Advise the board on best‑practice corporate governance; maintain comprehensive knowledge of all governing laws and regulations; and continually assess opportunities to strengthen governance frameworks
  • Board and Committee Management: Oversee all board and sub‑committee logistics; prepare agendas, manage documentation, attend meetings, and record minutes; maintain board records and facilitate effective communication in line with approved charters and procedures
  • Policy and Framework Management: Establish, implement, and annually review board and Committee Charters, governance policies, and required systems; coordinate annual governance training, induction, and performance evaluations for board members
  • Maintain processes for the timely execution of the authority’s annual strategic‑planning cycle.
    Work closely with the CEO and senior managers to ensure all ministerial, regulatory, and statutory filings are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the communication bridge between the board, CEO, senior management, and non‑market stakeholders — ensuring clarity, transparency, and effective dissemination of board decisions.

The ideal candidate will be employed on a contractual basis and will demonstrate strong governance expertise, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the highest levels of integrity and professionalism.

Position Qualifications and Experience:

At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a governance, compliance, risk, or regulatory managerial role.

Key competence, knowledge and skills:

  1. First degree in management, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law or related field or any equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge and skills
  2. Training, Certification or accreditation in Chartered Secretaryship or Corporate Governance
