Grenadian General Insurance celebrates 35 years with successful marathons and customer incentive campaigns

Grenadian General Insurance Company Ltd continues to mark its 35th anniversary with a series of high-impact community initiatives, highlighted by two successful marathon events held in Grenada and Carriacou, as well as the launch of a year-long customer rewards promotion aimed at deepening engagement with policyholders.

Grenada Half Marathon & 10K Race: A Showcase of Strength and Community Spirit

The Grenadian General Insurance Half Marathon & 10K Race saw approximately 500 runners from across the country display exceptional athleticism and determination. The event welcomed seasoned athletes and first-time participants, all united by a shared spirit of endurance and celebration.

Top finishers in the Half Marathon included:

  • Male: Livron Thorne (1:25:07), Jamie Romain (1:35:09), Johntia Noel (1:35:30)
  • Female: Annalisa Brown (1:44:32), Kenisha Pascal (1:48:34), Ameiah Samuel (1:58:58)

In the 10K Race, the leading runners were:

  • Male: Mikael Moses (38:36), Noah Coutain (43:37), Jordan Griffith-Hazzard (44:06)
  • Female: Azaria Simon (52:02), Brianna Coutain (57:32), Arianna James (57:57)

Carriacou 10K Race: A Milestone Moment in Sister Isle Sporting History

On 29 November, the inaugural Grenadian General 10K Race in Hillsborough, Carriacou, welcomed 55 competitors, including participants from Petite Martinique. The race — sponsored for 26 consecutive years by Grenadian General — was applauded by Hon. Tevin Andrews, Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs & Local Government, for its positive community impact and enduring partnership.

General Manager Kevon La Barrie reaffirmed Grenadian General’s commitment to the development of sports and youth empowerment in the tri-island state.

  • Girls 10 & Under: Akinny St Hillaire
  • Boys 10 & Under: Kell Mathurine
  • Boys 11–12: Kashon Williams
  • Female 13–15: Montisha St Bernard
  • Male 13–15: Chavez Compton
  • Most Senior Athlete: Alan Coombs
  • Female Winner: Koshona Williams
  • Male Winner: Kashon Williams

The race was coordinated by the Carriacou & Petite Martinique Sports Council, chaired by Ayanna Bartholomew.

Renew, Update & Win: Rewarding Customer Loyalty Through 2026

As part of its anniversary initiatives, Grenadian General Insurance has launched its monthly Renew, Update & Win Promotion, running until September 2026. The promotion encourages policyholders to:

  • Renew a policy for a chance to win $350 in account credit
  • Update customer information for a chance to win $150 in account credit
