Title: The Poetics of Correspondence
Venue: Spazio Berlindis, Cannaregio, Venice
9 May — 22 November 2026
Grenada is set to make waves once again on the world stage as it marks its 9th participation in the prestigious Biennale di Venezia in Venice, Italy.
This is a milestone moment that reinforces the nation’s widening scope in Caribbean contemporary art.
Presented by the Grenada Arts Council and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Creative Economy, the Grenada Pavilion 2026 offers a bold and timely exhibition titled The Poetics of Correspondence. Set in the historic maritime quarter of Cannaregio at Spazio Berlindis, the pavilion places Grenada at the crossroads of global cultural exchange.
Commissioner Susan Mains, appointed by Senator the Honourable Adrian Thomas, and Curator Daniele Radini Tedeschi bring together an exceptional team of artists and collaborators whose work explores islands as powerful networks of memory, creativity and connection.
Featured artists include Arthur Daniel, Jeverson Ramirez, Russell Watson, Edward Bowen, Lilo Nido and Chris Mast, joined by Italy-based collaborators Josine Dupont, Alexandra Kordas and The Holzwege Group.
Through immersive installations, time-based works, and collaborative interventions, the pavilion reflects Grenada’s identity as both an island and an intersection, local, regional, and global. It is a celebration of looking closely at quiet moments and observing otherwise imperceptible connections.
