  • International Companies (Repeal Act) (Validation) Bill approved in 2023
  • 13 February 2026 Government Gazette noted cancellation of Bravio licence with immediate effect

The Grenada Authority for the Regulation of Financial Institutions (GARFIN) has cancelled the licence of the last international betting company registered with the Authority.

Betting Companies were regulated in accordance with the International Betting Act Cap 151A of the 2010 Continuous Revised Edition of the Laws of Grenada, but that law was repealed in 2021 by the former New National Party (NNP) administration. In 2023, the ruling Dickon Mitchell Administration approved the International Companies (Repeal Act) (Validation) Bill, 2023.

That bill sought to validate international companies that failed to meet the statutory requirements for continuing to carry on business in accordance with the Companies Act, Chapter 58A after the repeal of the International Companies Act, Chapter 152 within the time prescribed under the International Companies (Repeal) Act No. 17 of 2018 (“the repeal Act”); and deem the international companies that are listed in the schedule to continue to carry on business and to provide services in accordance with the Companies Act, Chapter 58A; and for related matters.

A notice in the 13 February 2026 Government Gazette said that “In accordance with the provisions of Section 10 of the International Betting Act Cap. 151A, the Grenada Authority for the Regulation of Financial Institutions (GARFIN), as the authority responsible for Betting Companies, hereby cancels the licence of Bravio Ltd. with immediate effect.”

“The general public, including persons interested in doing business with this entity, are asked to note the contents of this Notice and be guided accordingly,” said the notice, which is signed by Denis Felix, Executive Director, GARFIN.
