The Ministry of Education is reminding parents and guardians that Monday, 6 July 2026, is the final day for submitting requests for the reassignment (transfer) of students placed through the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) process.
Parents and guardians wishing to request a transfer must submit their applications electronically through the ministry’s official online portal. The ministry advises that no hard copy applications will be accepted, and requests submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Applications may only be submitted via the following link.
Following the closure of the application period, relevant committees will then meet and make recommendations, which will be reviewed by the Ministry’s CPEA Oversight Committee for a final decision. Parents and guardians are advised that decisions on all requests will be communicated in writing during the week of 13 July 2026.
The ministry further reminds parents that reassignment requests are considered only on specific grounds, including:
- Availability of space at the requested school
- A vacated space becoming available
- Documented medical or psychological conditions supported by relevant records; and
- A change in residence, supported by appropriate proof
Additionally, transfers will not be approved for schools that have already reached their capacity.
The Ministry of Education thanks parents and guardians for their cooperation and encourages all interested persons to submit their requests before the 6 July deadline.
