Temporary modifications to public transport, with the closure of the “ Syntagma” metro station and changes to tram terminal stops in the city centre, will be in effect on Tuesday, by order of the Hellenic Police, due to the school parades to mark the October 28 national holiday.
There will also be temporary changes to bus and trolley line routes across all municipalities in Attica, depending on instructions and measures issued by the Traffic Police.
According to a STASY (Athens Urban Rail Transport) announcement:
– The “ Syntagma” metro station will close at 08:00 on Tuesday, and trains will pass through without stopping.
– Tram line 6 (“ Pikrodafni-Syntagma”) will temporarily have its final stop at “ FIX” station, from 08:00 on Tuesday.
– Tram line 7 (“ Asklipieio Voulas-Agia Triada Piraeus”) will temporarily make its last stop at the Peace and Friendship Stadium after 09:00 on Tuesday.
Services will return to normal operation after the completion of the celebrations.
