Passenger traffic in Greek airports increased 4.9% in 2025

Passenger traffic recorded an increase of 4.9%, in 2025 at all Greek airports.

According to the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, passenger traffic at all airports nationwide during the period January-December 2025 reached 83,333,571 passengers, compared with 79,424,082 passengers in the corresponding period of 2024.

As for the number of aircraft arrivals and departures, for both domestic and international flights, during the 12 months of 2025, across the 39 airports where air traffic control is mainly exercised by the HCAA, an increase of 4.1% was recorded compared with the period January-December 2024. In particular, a total of 629,633 flights took place in 2025, compared with 604,873 flights in 2024.

At the 24 airports managed by the HCAA (Heraklion, Kalamata, Alexandroupoli, Lemnos, Astypalaia, Ioannina, Chios, Kozani, Kastoria, Karpathos, Kythira, Milos, Skyros, Nea Anchialos, Paros, Syros, Araxos, Naxos, Kalymnos, Ikaria, Kastellorizo, Kasos, Leros, and Sitia), passenger traffic rose by 6.9% in the period January-December 2025 compared with the same period in 2024.

According to the statistics data, domestic and international passenger arrivals and departures in these airports in 2025 (January-December) amounted to 12,824,813 in total, up from 12,001,679 passenger arrivals and departures in 2024.
