North American flights to Greece are expected to shatter previous records by connecting eight major US cities and two Canadian hubs to the Hellenic Republic.
According to data compiled by the Golden Gate Interconnections networking program—an initiative of the Manhattan-based New York Advisory Board, led by Kostas Skagias, Ambassador of Mykonos Promo for HACC New York—seven airlines will operate routes throughout the year.
While service remains year-round, the bulk of the capacity is concentrated during the peak summer months.
Strategic expansion and North American flights to Greece
New York airports continue to lead the market, offering at least one daily flight year-round. This robust connectivity is followed by Boston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, Charlotte, Philadelphia, and—for the first time—Dallas.
The US market will be serviced by a powerhouse lineup of five major carriers:
- Delta Airlines
- American Airlines
- United Airlines
- Emirates
- Norse Atlantic
In Canada, Air Canada and Air Transat are set to ramp up operations in late March, offering a combined 15 weekly direct flights from Toronto and Montreal.
The “Dallas connection”
Building on the success of last year’s addition of Charlotte, North Carolina—which has now become a permanent fixture in the schedule—the industry is eyeing the new Dallas-to-Athens route with high expectations. Launching this May, the Dallas connection significantly expands the US-Greece aviation network into the American South.

The US outbound travel market remains a top priority for the “Connecting With the Best” program and its members. This market is highly valued for its premium characteristics, primarily consisting of high-spending travelers who significantly impact the luxury tourism sector.
Economic data underscores this importance: in 2025, travel receipts from the US surpassed €1.6 billion, representing a robust 8.5% increase compared to 2024.
To capitalize on this momentum, the program’s team has maintained an aggressive promotional schedule since the start of the year.
They have already participated in two premier Travel & Adventure Shows in Washington, D.C. and New York City, with plans to attend the Los Angeles exhibition in early March to further strengthen Greek-American tourism ties.
