SRCA Scientists present research in Valencia

Georgia: The Representatives of the Research Service of Agro-Forestry Cultures in K. participated in the international conference held in Valencia. Notably, the conference was held on October 8, 2025, a Wednesday.

The Scientific Research Center for Agriculture (SRCA) of Georgia shared the glimpses of the international conference on its official Facebook Page on October 8, 2025, Wednesday. The Agricultural Centre shared some information related to the conference along with its highlights.

The Head of the Research Service of Agro-forestry Crops of Agriculture Scientific and Research Center Nani Goginashvili, and Irina Tvauri, Specialist of Standards, Certification, Planning and Economic Analysis Service, participated in the International Scientific Conference “10th International Conference of Plant Science and Molecular Biology” held in Valencia, Spain.

The participation of Georgian scientists in such international events highlights the country’s growing contribution to global agricultural and environmental research. It also provides an opportunity to strengthen scientific collaboration, share innovative methods, and promote Georgia’s achievements in plant science and sustainable forestry management on an international stage.

Within the conference, the scientists of the center presented the results of research on rare species of forest in Georgia – Lapni and homeless. The study included identifying Laphne locations across Georgia, creating a database and species distribution map based on the data received, and identifying the best populations for in-situ conservation. In the direction of homelessness, the study was about the study of species growth dynamics in hundreds of years of unclaimed coromes on the protected area of Batsari.

The event was an important platform for the exchange of experiences among scientists, presenting research results and planning future international cooperation. It should be noted that this research is funded by the Shota Rustaveli National Scientific Foundation.
