Rustavi N21 school reopens after renovation

Georgia: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, opened a newly rehabilitated public school in Rustavi city, N21. The minister got acquainted with the renewed infrastructure and met with students and teachers.

The Rustavi City Hall also shared the glimpses of the opening ceremony of the newly rehabilitated public school in the city, on its official Facebook Page on October 29, 2025, Wednesday. The City Hall also shared a small note about the event along with its glimpses.

The Minister said, “The complete rehabilitation of Rustavi N21 public school is of utmost importance for the development of the city, and the children have the opportunity to learn in an environment appropriate to modern standards.”

This is another clear proof that the Georgian government is paying special attention to the development of educational infrastructure in the process of reforming the education system,” said Givi Mikanadze.

Along with the minister, the mayor of Rustavi city, Nino Latsabidze, the deputy of Rustavi and Garabani Majoritarian Irakli Shatakishvili, representatives of the Municipal Development Fund, and the World Bank inspected the school.

It is also noteworthy that the complete rehabilitation of Rustavi public school N21, named after Nodar Dumbadze, was carried out by the Municipal Development Fund with the support of the World Bank within the framework of the project “Innovation, Inclusive Education and Quality (I2Q)”. The cost of the infrastructure project is 6,900,000 GEL. The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth provided school equipment.

About 1600 students study, and 118 employees are employed, 89 of them are teachers. Rustavi’s N21 public school was built in 1972. In 2023, he was given the name of prominent social activist and writer Nodar Dumbadze.
