“Nikooba-2025” celebrated in Didi Jikhaishi with diverse events at Niko Nikoladze House-Museum

With the promotion of the National Agency for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Georgia and the City Hall of Samtredia, in Didi Jikhaishi, at the Niko Nikoladze House-Museum, the traditional public holiday – “Nikooba-2025”- was celebrated.

Paata Gafrindashvili, Deputy Director General of the National Agency for Protection of Cultural Heritage of Georgia, and Lela Baramashvili, Head of Museums and Museum-Funeral Services, attended the ceremonial events.

The event was also attended by the Mayor of Samtredia Municipality, David Bakhtadze, the representative of the Cultural Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Soso Kopaleishvili, and representatives of the municipality.

“Nikooba-2025” included diverse events and activities:

Young guides of Niko Nikoladze’s House Museum, schoolchildren, hosted guests and introduced Niko Nikolodze’s way of life and achievements; Samtredia Art School-Gallery presented the works of professional artists, and the art school students created quick sketches in the yard of the museum.

Also, an exhibition of works of the students of the Great Jikhaishi Art School was organized within the Art Hour.

A friendly chess match was organized by Samtredia Complex Sports School.

The winners were given the name stamps of the museum. Within the framework of the activities, the presentation of Niko Nikoladze’s collection of publicist letters was also organized.

Also, a pupil conference was held on the topic: “Niko Nikoladze – a man who turned the world into action”.

Students from different public schools participated in the conference.

At the end of the day, a concert dedicated to the memory of Niko Nikoladze and his death anniversary was held, in which they participated:

Samtredia’s Erosi Manjgaladze Cultural Center’s choir-singers – “Host”; Vocal ensemble – “Hope”; Pupil-Youth Georgian-Folk Plug Ensemble – “Changi”; Vocal-Instrumental Ensemble – “Alilo”; Choreographic Ensemble – “Lile”; Court and Sports Dance Ensemble – “Fantasia”; Student-Youth House Ensemble – “Orudila”; Great Jikhaishi House Georgian-folk plugs ensemble of Elovnebo school, and the 7th Samtredia Public School Girls’ Ensemble.
