Tbilisi, Georgia: The local council has started to set up a square near the buildings N36-N37 of the second microdistrict of Gldani. Works will be carried out on an area of up to 3000 sq m.
The Tbilisi City Hall shared the glimpses of the construction works being carried out on its official Facebook page on April 2, 2026, Thursday. The City Hall also shared a small note about the works along with its glimpses.
The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, got acquainted with deputies Irakli Bendeliani and Kakha Abuladze about the project. The Tbilisi City Hall also shared the snippets of their visit in their recent post.
The Tbilisi Mayor noted, “We are in the second microdistrict where a new park will be built. The area is not big, but the project is coming along well – recreation areas will be made, as well as attractions for children, trees will be planted, and the square will be lit and tidied up.”
“In addition, we plan to continue the mentioned project below. We also want to organize the lower yards and connect these spaces. In total, up to one hectare of space will be created between residential buildings. The fact that there were illegal fences is very important. I’d like to thank the locals for their cooperation with their involvement in removing the sheds and illegal fencing, adding to the park area, and reusing the area. The works will be finished in four months,” Kakha Kaladze said.
In addition, there will be a fitness area, rocking chairs, and an irrigation system in the area; landscaping works will be carried out, and other infrastructure required for the square will be placed.
More than half a million GEL will be spent on the project from the budget of the Board. Along with the mayor, Gldani district spokesman Besik Kaladze, parliament delegate Vladimir Bozhadze, and the deputy of the city council Mikheil Rekhviashvili got acquainted with the ongoing project.
