In Chughureti district, near Maruashvili street N50, a new sports field was opened on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The largest football field in the district was built on an area of 968 square meters.

The mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, visited the spot and also got acquainted with the completed works. He noted, “A football field was set up in Chughureti district. This turned out to be a very good project. The area is well lit and tidy in every way.”

The Tbilisi City Hall shared the glimpses of the completed works on its official Facebook Page on September 18. The City Hall of Tbilisi also shared a small note about the works along with its glimpses.

According to him, “It was always a problem to find a large space in Chughureti district, due to its relief, where such a project could be implemented. He said that he was glad to see sports infrastructure where our little ones will have the opportunity to exercise and relax, which is very important in our daily lives.

Kakha Kaladze stated, “We will actively continue to rebuild, develop the city, set up parks, recreation areas, sports facilities, because it is important to promote a healthy lifestyle.” We are ready to continue caring for our city and fellow citizens. The next four years will be even more interesting for Tbilisi,” he added.

As part of the project, artificial turf and bleachers were installed, a painted area with metal mesh, and it was equipped with all necessary equipment. The cost of the project was 505,000 GEL.

After the opening of the sports field, a concert was held with the participation of representatives of Georgian celebrities.

Along with the mayor of the capital, the leader of Chughureti, David Makatsaria, the district majoritarian deputy Zurab Chikviladze, and the parliament delegate Rima Beradze inspected the renewed infrastructure.
