Azerbaijani Education Minister visits TSU

Georgia: The Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrulayev, Deputy Minister Hasanli, and other representatives of the Ministry visited Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on December 5.

The Tbilisi State University shared the glimpses of the Minister’s visit on its official Facebook Page on December 5, 2025, Friday. The University also shared a small note about their visit, along with its glimpses.

The Members of the delegation were hosted by the TSU Rector, academician Jaba Samushia, together with the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Levan Tzasiashvili.

The meeting was dedicated to deepening cooperation in the field of education between the two countries and to discussing future joint projects. Special attention was paid to the educational program of Caucasology at the Faculty of Humanities of Tbilisi State University, within which one of the mandatory modules is Azerbaijanology.

“Today at Tbilisi State University, up to 120 students choose the subjects of the Caucasology program per semester, which once again confirms the role of our university in the development of regional educational cooperation.Our relationship with Azerbaijani universities is becoming more and more versatile every year. We are ready to further deepen this collaboration in both academic and scientific fields,Jaba Samushia said.

The working meeting was also attended by Simuzar Feizulaeva, Director of the Institute of Education, Elnur Aliyev, Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Georgia, Kamal Khalilov, and First Secretary Ramiz Hajizada.

An exhibition on an Azerbaijani theme was organized for honorable guests by the TSU Library and the TSU Museum. At the end of the event, TSU folklore and choreographic ensembles performed several numbers.
