The preliminary round of the CAF TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations “Pamoja 2027” qualifiers has produced early excitement, with several teams across the continent making decisive moves in their campaigns.
In one of the key matches, Eritrea secured a vital victory over Eswatini, strengthening their position in the qualification race. South Sudan also impressed, recording a 4-0 win against Djibouti, a result that gives them a commanding advantage in their tie.
Elsewhere, Lesotho and Seychelles played to a goalless draw in a closely fought encounter, leaving the outcome to be decided in the return leg.
The preliminary round continues to showcase competitive fixtures as African teams vie for a place in the 2027 tournament.
