Members of the the police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a 16-year-old boy found dead in Brufut on Wednesday, 19th November 2025.

The deceased, Lamin Tamba, a resident of Brufut, was discovered lying motionless and soaked, prompting immediate police response from officers stationed at the Brusubi Police Station. He was rushed to Brufut Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have confirmed that the circumstances surrounding Tamba’s death are unclear and investigations are ongoing. The public is being urged to provide any information that could assist authorities in determining the cause of death.

The Gambia Police Force has assured the community that it is committed to conducting a thorough investigation and bringing justice to the case.
