Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema has arrived in The Gambia for a three-day state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Nguema was received at Banjul International Airport on Wednesday by President Adama Barrow and accorded a ceremonial guard of honour on arrival.
During the visit, the two leaders are expected to hold a private tête-à-tête, followed by bilateral talks focusing on deepening cooperation in key areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, infrastructure and other priority development sectors.
The state visit underscores the growing diplomatic ties between The Gambia and Gabon and is expected to further enhance collaboration between the two West and Central African nations.
