Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov of Uzbekistan is visiting Finland on Monday. He is scheduled to meet with Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen (NCP). The two ministers will discuss the bilateral relations between Finland and Uzbekistan, along with current topics related to foreign and security policy.

Minister Elina Valtonen noted in a statement that she “had the pleasure of visiting Uzbekistan in June 2025. Our countries are collaborating more closely, and I look forward to continuing discussions with Minister Saidov in Helsinki. The current geopolitical situation underlines the need for regular dialogue.”

During his visit, Foreign Minister Saidov will also meet with President Alexander Stubb.

Additionally, a meeting between representatives from Finnish and Uzbek business sectors will take place.
