SOUTHERN FINLAND

Foreca forecasts a strengthening high-pressure system will bring clear skies from Wednesday. By week’s end, temperatures could reach 10-15C in southern/central regions and around 10C in Lapland.

Next week, high pressure brings clear days but much colder nights. Lows could hit -10C from Wednesday, even in the south. Daytime highs: 4-10C south/central, 0-8C north. Dry conditions expected nationwide for two weeks.

So far this year the highest recorded temperature is 12.6C, measured on March 22 in Heinola, southern Finland. The Finnish Meteorological Institute reports that last March was Finland’s warmest on record.
