Police are investigating a road accident that occurred this morning in Denarau, Nadi, involving a staff service bus that veered off a bridge and landed on its left side in a swamp.

The incident happened at around 7:50am, as the bus was heading towards a hotel in Denarau.

A total of 50 passengers sustained injuries. Of these, 43 passengers were transported to Zens Medical Centre in Nadi Town, while seven others were taken to Nadi Hospital for further medical attention.

Police confirm that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
