A 31-year-old man charged with allegedly causing the death of his uncle has been remanded in custody.
Petaia Sematunagauna appeared before Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne this afternoon, charged with one count of murder.
On the 13th of this month, the accused punched the victim at their place in Lami several times causing his death.
The police prosecutor objected to bail, adding there is a likelihood the accused with interfere with witnesses.
The matter has been transferred to the High Court and adjourned to the 17th of October.
