The driver involved in a motor vehicle accident in Tacirua that left four children injured has surrendered himself to the police.

The 35-year-old man is alleged to have struck the four children shortly after 7 am today while they were walking along the road.

The victims, aged 14, 7 and 5 years, were injured in the incident.

Three of the children were transferred to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, while one remains admitted at the Valelevu Health Centre.

All four are reported to be in stable condition.

The driver remains in Police custody as investigations into the incident continue.
