Cocaine threat suspect granted bail

The man who issued a video threat directed at the Fiji Police Force, demanding the release of the seized 2.6 tonne of cocaine in Vatia, Tavua and claiming ownership of the drugs has been granted bail by the Ba High Court today.

Sunia Kobululevu of Nanuya Street, Lautoka, was charged with conspiracy and unlawful possession of illicit drugs.

Mr Kobululevu and three other accused persons- Travis Cheer, Iliesa Cokanasiga and Jonathan Hill were released on bail with strict conditions and will act as immunity witnesses for the State.

Australian national Anaseini Rokolati was also granted bail with strict conditions by the State.

For the other accused persons, a bail hearing date is scheduled for next Monday.

The substantive matter has been adjourned to March 30.
