MANZINI– Music, storytelling and shared experiences together through the first edition of Spring Soul Sessions, an event designed to create an intimate space for music lovers at SibaneSami Hotel.
Scheduled for 5 September 2026, the event will feature live performances by Zwile and Judah, supported by DJ sets from Gifted Kosie, Teqnosoul, Locco, DJ Bloss and MasterJack.
Speaking about the idea behind the event, Host Sethu Magagula said Spring Soul Sessions was inspired by the meaning of the season and the opportunity it presents for people to reconnect. “Spring Soul Sessions came from the idea of renewal, both in music and in life, It is all about growth, and this event reflects that feeling of starting fresh, reconnecting and getting inspired again.” She said
The programme will move through different musical styles, including jazz, Afro-soul, contemporary and electronic sounds. She says the line-up was selected to create a smooth musical journey while maintaining the soulful identity of the event. “The night will move through different moods but still stay rooted in soul, “It is designed to feel elevated, but still personal and close.”
Food and refreshments will also form part of the experience, allowing guests to enjoy the music while connecting with others in a relaxed setting. Music does not really exist on its own. It is about the vibe, the atmosphere and the people you are sharing it with,” Sethu said.
She added that her aim is to create an environment where guests can slow down, enjoy the performances and leave with a positive feeling. “I want people to leave feeling good, inspired and full,” she said.
Sethu says the first edition could become the beginning of a regular cultural platform, with future events expected to introduce new artists and sounds while keeping the focus on soulful music and intentional experiences people should just come with open hearts.
