Police in Mbabane have opened an investigation into an armed robbery that occurred in the Kentrock area during the early hours of March 12, 2026, after a family was attacked inside their home by four armed suspects.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service reported that the incident took place at about 0210 hours at a residence in Kentrock. The victim, a 47 year old man who lives in the Mbabane suburb, was at home with his family when the suspects struck.
According to police reports, the four unknown men, one of whom was armed with a pistol, entered the house through the door while the occupants were asleep.
Once inside the residence, the suspects went into the bedroom where the family was sleeping. The intruders attacked the occupants and held them hostage while carrying out the robbery.
During the ordeal, the suspects took jewellery valued at E60 000 and cash amounting to E10 000 before fleeing the scene.
Investigations are now underway as police work to identify and locate the suspects involved in the robbery.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service has called on members of the public who may have seen or heard anything linked to the incident or who may have information that could assist investigators to come forward.
