Nhlangano – Nsingizini Hotspurs were crowned 2025 26 MTN Premier League first round winners on Saturday afternoon after a presentation ceremony held at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano.
The defending champions finished the opening half of the season at the top of the standings with 31 points from 15 matches, collecting the maximum reward available at the halfway stage of the campaign. The tally came from a possible 45 points and placed the Shiselweni based side firmly in control as the title race moves into the second round.
The trophy and prize money were officially handed over by Premier League of Eswatini chairman Polycarp Dlamini, joined by MTN Eswatini interim chief executive officer Jerry J Soko. The club also received a cash incentive of E120 000 as part of the league’s first round winners package.
The ceremony was attended by club officials, players and supporters, marking another milestone for the 1984 founded club, which continues to assert itself as one of the dominant forces in domestic football.
