Reigning MTN Premier League champions Nsingizini Hotspurs and Macsteel have ended their partnership.
The two parties have mutually agreed to end their two-year, E1.5 million sponsorship deal which was launched in 2024 ahead of the club’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Macsteel served as the main sponsor for the back-to-back MTN Premier League champions during the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
This was announced by the green and white ensemble through a press statement.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Macsteel for your incredible support and partnership during the 2024/25 and 2025/26 season. Your commitment has been part of our journey, growth and success,” the club said.
Macsteel Director Sabelo Maziya also confirmed the development.
“We have amicably ended our sponsorship with Nsingizini Hotspurs by mutual consent as their main sponsor. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours,” he said.
The Mandla Qhogi-led side will represent the country in the 2026 CAF Champions League following their successful league campaign, which saw them defend the league title.
The team also won the 8Bet Trade Cup and SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup during the partnership signed with Macsteel in 2024 in what was one of the biggest sponsorship deals in local football at the time, valued at E1.5 million over two years.
The funding supported the club’s domestic dominance and maiden CAF Confederation Cup appearance.
With their latest league title, Hotspurs will now step up to the CAF Champions League – Africa’s premier club competition – and will be seeking a new headline sponsor ahead of the continental campaign.
