MINISTER OF HEALTH APPLAUDS HEALTH WORKERS FOR TRADE FAIR SUCCESS

BY MFANUFIKILE KHATHWANE

MBABANE – The Minister of Health, Mduduzi Matsebula, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to health workers for their outstanding contribution during the 2025 Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF).

The Ministry of Health played a dual role at the fair, both as an exhibitor and a service provider. According to official figures, over 5 000 clients were directly engaged by health teams, with 271 individuals referred for specialised care at health facilities.

Minister Matsebula described the Ministry’s participation as a “resounding success,” noting that the dedicated efforts of health professionals went beyond simply providing services  they also shared valuable information to guide citizens in making healthier lifestyle choices.

“The Ministry is proud and deeply grateful to all health workers who dedicated their time, energy, and expertise to serving the nation. Your contribution will surely lead to a healthier population, ready to play its part in Eswatini’s economic growth. Eswatini has a brighter future because of you,” he said.

He further acknowledged the support of visitors who stopped by the Ministry’s exhibition booth, expressing hope that the information they received would make a lasting impact on their wellbeing.

The Minister also extended gratitude to partners including NGOs, parastatals, and private health facilities for collaborating with the Ministry to expand the reach of services at the Trade Fair.

Speaking last week during the launch of the Event-Based Surveillance Guidelines at Hilton Garden Inn in Mbabane, the Minister also praised health workers for their dedication, noting that their work is recognised internationally. “When I travel abroad, I am proud because Eswatini’s health system is appreciated for its strength and effectiveness. This reputation is due to the tireless service of our health workers,” he said.

Concluding his message, Minister Matsebula said the Ministry of Health and the Government of Eswatini salute all who contributed to making the Trade Fair presence a success.
