LOZITHA – His Majesty King Mswati III has maintained Eswatini’s commitment to global partnerships that promote development, peace, and prosperity.
Speaking this afternoon at Lozitha Palace after receiving letters of credence from the new Ambassadors of Kuwait and the Russian Federation, the King highlighted the importance of international collaboration in achieving Eswatini’s national and continental goals.
Building Strong Ties with Kuwait
In his address to the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, His Majesty praised the enduring friendship between the two nations. He expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s significant contribution to Eswatini’s development, particularly through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, which has supported the country’s road network and other infrastructure projects.
“Kuwait has been very instrumental in supporting the Kingdom’s development efforts, especially as we transform our economy into a stronger, more sustainable structure,” the King said.
He emphasized that Eswatini’s ongoing economic transformation cannot be achieved in isolation, underscoring the value of partnerships with nations that share Eswatini’s vision for progress.
“We know that alone we cannot achieve all our goals. But with friends like Kuwait, there is so much we can accomplish together,” His Majesty noted.
Shared Vision with the Russian Federation
Turning to the newly accredited Ambassador of the Russian Federation, His Majesty addressed global and regional challenges such as health crises and unemployment, highlighting the importance of unity and shared purpose.
“The world is full of many challenges, health problems, unemployment, and more. Africa has set itself Agenda 2063 to make the continent a better place for all,” the King said.
He maintained that Eswatini’s national development strategy aligns closely with Africa’s Agenda 2063, emphasizing innovation, job creation, and industrial growth.
“Some of our national priorities are focused on solving unemployment through job creation in manufacturing, agro-industries, and high technology,” His Majesty declared.
A Vision of Partnership and Progress
His Majesty’s remarks reinforced Eswatini’s active role in the global community, pursuing sustainable partnerships that drive inclusive development. The ceremony at Lozitha Palace symbolized the strengthening of diplomatic bridges that continue to advance the Kingdom’s vision of economic transformation and shared prosperity.
As Eswatini deepens its relationships with long-standing allies like Kuwait and new strategic partners such as Russia, the Kingdom stands poised to enter a new era of international cooperation, one defined by progress, innovation, and unity.
