MBABANE – His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom have congratulated the Kingdom of Eswatini on its 57th Independence Day, praising the nation’s progress and commitment to sustainability.
In a letter addressed to His Majesty King Mswati III, King Charles highlighted the strong ties and special friendship between Eswatini and the United Kingdom, describing the relationship as “invaluable” and urging that it be nurtured for the benefit of all Commonwealth citizens, both now and in the future.
The letter specifically recognised the nation’s young people, commending their drive and passion in addressing today’s challenges and describing them as an inspiration.
King Charles also lauded Eswatini’s efforts in environmental conservation, particularly its work to combat climate change and protect wildlife and biodiversity.
He reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s support for Eswatini in advancing its green energy agenda, reinforcing a shared commitment to environmental sustainability.
Concluding their message, King Charles and Queen Camilla extended warm wishes to the people of Eswatini for the year ahead, underscoring the enduring friendship and common values between the two nations.
