Eswatini international midfielder Junior Magagula has ended the country’s over five-year representation in the DR Congo league.
The former Royal Leopard midfielder recently penned a three-year deal with Union Maniema, joining the likes of Felix ‘ Fela ‘ Badenhorst and Mthunzi ‘ Xavi ‘ Mkhontfo in the list of local players plying their trade in the DR Congo.
Badenhorst and Mkhontfo once had a stint with AS Vita club five years ago.

Magagula won the hearts of Union Maniema during their match with Royal Leopard in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.
Magagula promised to make the country proud in the DRC.
” I will make the country proud in DR Congo and continue working hard in my career,” he said
Magagula has numerous Sihlangu caps in his illustrious career.
DR Congo is fresh from participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which was jointly hosted by the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.
The Linafoot is the top division of the Congolese Association Football Federation (FECOFA), the governing body of football in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was created in 1958.
