EZULWINI – “If not Inyatsi, then who?”
This thought-provoking question was raised by Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini during a speech at the Inyatsi Leadership Forum in Ezulwini on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
The event, held at Royal Villas, brought together the Prime Minister and key ministers, including Minister of Economic Planning and Development Dr. Tambo Gina, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Pholile Shakantu, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo, and Minister of Finance Neal Rijkenberg.
Dlamini’s remarks, which provoked a thunderous applause from Inyatsi’s staff members, celebrated the tremendous growth and success of Inyatsi Group, attributing the company’s achievements to visionary leadership and strategic decision-making. “Your company has experienced remarkable growth over the past decade,” Dlamini said, “and this success reflects the strength of your leadership, which has continuously shown resilience, foresight, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.”
However, such success hasn’t gone unnoticed, with some questioning the continued dominance of Inyatsi Group in securing key business contracts, particularly within government. To these concerns, the Prime Minister responded with confidence: “In a free market, businesses must compete on merit. Inyatsi’s leadership has demonstrated the drive and ambition necessary to thrive and expand. So, I ask: if not Inyatsi, then who?”
He went on to highlight the strategic importance of building robust, competitive companies in Eswatini. “From the government’s perspective, it is crucial that we foster and support the growth of local businesses. Inyatsi Group is leading the way in this national endeavour, setting a shining example for other companies to follow,” Dlamini emphasised.
The Prime Minister also noted the importance of shifting the national mindset, as outlined in the government’s policy statement, which places patriotism and bold thinking at the core of economic development. He stated: “It is essential that we not only support our own, but also think globally, building businesses capable of competing on the world stage. Inyatsi’s vision is precisely aligned with this objective, and the government is wholeheartedly committed to supporting the continued growth of such enterprises.”
The Prime Minister’s remarks were clear: the government stands ready to assist Inyatsi Group in its ongoing expansion. “We are excited about your potential to scale new heights,” Dlamini stated, “and we will provide unwavering support as you continue to grow, not just in Eswatini but across Africa and beyond.”
In his address, the Prime Minister also took the opportunity to reaffirm the government’s dedication to fostering a positive business environment in Eswatini. “While our economy may be small, the opportunities are vast,” Dlamini said. “What is essential is that we continue to build strong, locally-rooted businesses that can make a significant impact on the global stage.”
He also reflected on the timing of the event, noting that the beginning of the new year provides a perfect opportunity for reflection and forward-thinking. “This forum is an invaluable occasion to share His Majesty’s vision for the country, as outlined in the Nkwe Programme of Action for 2025–2028 and the Grand Plan for National Transformation. The work being done here today contributes directly to these national goals, and we commend Inyatsi Group for its ongoing efforts.”
In closing, the Prime Minister praised the company for its immense contribution to Eswatini’s economy. “Inyatsi has not only created thousands of jobs but has also emerged as the leading tax-compliant contributor in the construction sector, paying over E1 billion in taxes and dividends. This underscores the critical role you play in the development of our nation,” he concluded.
As Inyatsi Group continues to lead by example, its unwavering commitment to growth, excellence, and national development remains a source of inspiration for businesses across Eswatini. And with the government’s continued support, the future looks bright for both Inyatsi and the country as a whole.
