Eswatini’s own house music sensation, DJ Cup, has officially been tapped to represent the Kingdom at the prestigious Kings of House 20.26 festival, set to take place in Mozambique on July 11, 2026.

The event, presented by Gloom Events, is a multi-stage powerhouse celebrating African pride, identity, and the global reach of electronic music. DJ Cup joins a stellar, internationally acclaimed lineup that includes artists from as far as Spain and Brazil, signaling a major milestone for Eswatini’s presence in the regional electronic music landscape.

DJ Cup, born Welcome Zama Maseko, is one of eight artists announced so far, sharing the spotlight with heavyweights like Fatsync (Brazil), Lexlay (Spain), Pando G (South Africa), Viot (Brazil), and Hypa Phonic (South Africa).

“I’m so excited about the show; I’m looking forward to it,” said an elated DJ Cup. “I can’t wait to play my music and party with my fans in Mozambique. It’s always a vibe.”

He promised an unforgettable performance, noting, “People should come and join; it will be epic. The set will be something for the books, since I will be playing House, Tech, and Afro—it will be amazing. I’m ready to rock.”

With over a decade of experience in the industry, DJ Cup has become a synonymous figure with Eswatini’s new generation of House music. His sound is a signature blend of deep, energetic, and authentic Afro House, designed to create unity through intense crowd engagement.

Beyond his reputation as a high-octane performer with a resume spanning Eswatini, South Africa, Tanzania, and Mozambique, DJ Cup is also a key figure behind the scenes, serving as the Operations Director at NewLife Entertainment and producing widely followed deep house podcast mixes.

The Kings of House 20.26 event is positioned as a platform where “new kings rise,” and for DJ Cup, the opportunity is one he approaches with both humility and professional pride. Representing Eswatini on such a prominent stage is more than just a gig—it is a testament to the country’s vibrant, evolving house music culture.

As the countdown to July begins, fans can expect DJ Cup to bring his A-game to the decks, ensuring that the Eswatini flag flies high among the African electronic music elite.
