MBABANE – As organisations confront growing questions around leadership continuity, institutional strength and the development of future leaders, the Leadership Growth Forum (LGF) is bringing senior executives and emerging leaders together for a timely conversation on what it means to “lift as you rise.”
The LGF CEO Roundtable, themed “African Leadership Renaissance: Lift As You Rise,” will take place on July 31, 2026 at 5:30pm at Mountain View Hotel in Mbabane.
The high-level conversation will feature esteemed business leaders Dennis Mbingo, Pius Gumbi and Pearl Munthali, who will share perspectives on mentorship, succession planning, organisational transformation and the responsibility of established leaders to deliberately create opportunities for those coming behind them.
At the heart of the discussion is an increasingly important question for African institutions: Who will lead next?
The roundtable will move beyond celebrating individual leadership success to examine how today’s leaders can transfer knowledge, identify and nurture talent, create opportunities for emerging professionals and build institutions capable of thriving long after current executives have moved on.
“The future of Africa will not be secured by leaders who rise alone. It will be shaped by those who build people, strengthen institutions and intentionally prepare others to lead,” said LGF’s Max Mkhonza.
Dennis Mbingo brings extensive executive leadership experience across banking, auditing and merchant banking. His career has included senior roles within FNB operations in Eswatini, Mozambique, Lesotho and South Africa, giving him valuable experience of leading across diverse African markets and business environments.
Pearl Munthali is an accomplished technology and business executive whose experience spans ICT, business development, human capital management, enterprise development and organisational transformation. She is also the founder and president of African Women in Information Communication Technology, through which she has championed greater participation by women and emerging enterprises in the technology sector.
Pius Gumbi is a seasoned executive and energy sector leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning utility leadership, infrastructure development, renewable energy and strategic transformation across Africa. He previously served as Managing Director of the Swaziland Electricity Company, now Eswatini Electricity Company. He also served as Chairperson of the Southern African Power Pool. He is currently Executive Director of Smart Innovation Energy and Co-Founder of the Black Energy Professionals Association, and continues to contribute to conversations on energy transition, sustainable infrastructure and leadership across the continent.
The conversation will be facilitated by KRTc and Thandeka Malaza, who will guide the discussion and draw practical leadership lessons from the panellists, in line with LGF’s philosophy of creating “one conversation, endless impact.”
The CEO Roundtable now fully booked. The audience will include executives, entrepreneurs, professionals and emerging leaders seeking practical insights into mentorship, leadership development, succession planning and the creation of sustainable leadership pipelines.
