The UAE issued a statement on Tuesday evening regarding Iran’s attacks against it.

“The United Arab Emirates affirms that it has not made any decision to change its defensive posture in the face of repeated Iranian attacks.”

It added: “The country has been subjected to more than a thousand attacks, a number exceeding the combined total of all other targeted countries, and our armed forces have countered them with utmost professionalism, efficiency, and distinction.”

The statement continued: “The UAE affirms that it did not participate in the war and did not permit the use of its territory, territorial waters, or airspace in any attack against Iran, in accordance with its policies of good neighborliness and de-escalation, and the UN Charter.”

“In this regard, the UAE affirms its right to self-defense, as guaranteed by international law and the UN Charter.”

The statement concluded by emphasizing that the UAE “stresses the importance of adhering to journalistic professionalism and the necessity of obtaining information from official and reliable sources before publishing or circulating any inaccurate reports.”
