Two killed and eight injured in attack targeting King Fahd Airport in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) disclosed the casualties from the attack targeting King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

In a post on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, GACA reported that the death toll from the attack rose to two following confirmation of an additional fatality.

The deceased were a Saudi citizen and an Indian national.

The Authority noted that eight people were injured, with conditions ranging from minor to severe.

The injured include a Saudi citizen, two Indian nationals, two Yemeni nationals, two Bangladeshi nationals, and one Nepalese national.

GACA indicated that: “They are receiving the necessary medical care in several hospitals. We pray for mercy for the deceased and a speedy recovery for the injured.”

The statement concluded by emphasizing the “ongoing work—in full coordination and integration with relevant security authorities—to assess the damages, take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and workers, and maintain the security and safety of the Kingdom’s civil aviation ecosystem.”

According to GACA, operational activities at the airport have resumed and air traffic has returned to normal.
