Santo Domingo.- The Franco-Dominican Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFD) will host France Week in Santo Domingo from November 12 to 15 at the JW Marriott Hotel, focusing on the theme “Blue Economy and Smart Cities.” Recognized as the main binational business forum between France and the Dominican Republic, the event will gather over 800 participants, including business leaders, investors, and government officials, to foster economic cooperation and promote projects in sustainable mobility, energy, technological innovation, waste management, and green finance.
The forum will open on November 12 with a welcome cocktail celebrating business excellence and Franco-Dominican collaboration. On November 13, President Luis Abinader will officially inaugurate the event alongside Eury Vásquez, CCIFD president, and French representatives, with sessions highlighting innovation and the energy transition. A business luncheon led by Minister Ito Bisonó and B2B meetings will connect French and Dominican companies across various sectors.
France Week will conclude on November 15 with a cultural day showcasing French art and elegance, including a conference at the Alliance Française and the Chic à la Française Walk at Blue Mall, offering visitors exclusive activities and experiences.
Held biennially, France Week is organized by the CCIFD, a non-profit network of over 210 companies promoting economic relations between the two countries. The event is supported by the French Embassy, ProDominicana, Business France, AFD, Proparco, Sofratesa, Aerodom/Vinci Airports, Alstom, Altice Dominicana, and Banco Popular Dominicano, among others.
