Police in the Bahamas are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday evening in the Bamboo Town area, leaving one man dead.

According to the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF), officers were called to a residence on Taylor Drive shortly after 7:00pm on June 22. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Emergency Medical Services were quickly summoned to the scene, but sadly, the victim showed no signs of life.

Preliminary reports indicate that a group of individuals had been gathered outside the home when a man on a motorcycle approached them. The suspect reportedly brandished a firearm and opened fire on the group before fleeing the scene on the motorcycle.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the police as investigations continue.
