Prague’s Botanical Garden in Troja has opened its annual autumn pumpkin exhibition, transforming the grounds into an enchanted, haunted forest.
Running until November 2, 2025, the festival features creative pumpkin displays, eerie installations, family-friendly workshops, and a Halloween lantern parade.
The garden features hundreds of pumpkins, gourds, and other ornamental fruits in a variety of shapes, sizes, and hues.
Dates Activities
- Oct 11–12 Pumpkin Playtime: crafts using pumpkins and natural materials.
- Oct 18–19 Creative Workshops: build wooden owls, make colourful spiders and more.
- Oct 25–26 Pumpkin carving and Jack-o-lantern making.
- Oct 31 Halloween Celebration: festivities begin in the afternoon, culminating in an evening lantern parade and treats like roasted bacon.
On November 1–2, the garden remains open until 7:00 p.m. to allow visitors to enjoy illuminated pumpkin installations in the darkened forest.
Guided tours are held on Saturdays—October 11, 18, and 25—at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. These walks unveil behind-the-scenes stories: pumpkin varieties, growing methods, and decoration ideas.
Admission: Between 95–180 CZK, depending on visitor category.
