Sting to Play in Prague at Metronome Festival

After nearly a decade, Sting will once again perform in Prague — this time as the final headliner of the Metronome Festival 2026, set to take place from June 19 to 21 at Letňany Airport.

The British musician, who has won 17 Grammy Awards and is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will take the stage on Sunday, closing the three-day event. Organizers announced the lineup on Monday, confirming that Live Nation Czech Republic will co-produce the festival for the first time.

Tickets for both the final day and full three-day passes go on sale this Friday via Ticketmaster.

“Fans can expect everything that makes a Sting show special — timeless hits, new songs, his unmistakable voice, and top-level musicianship,” said Ondřej Pojzl, speaking on behalf of the organizers.

Sting will perform as a trio, joined by long-time guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas. The same lineup appeared last year at Lochotín Amphitheatre in Plzeň and this summer at Colours of Ostrava. The group will also play Brno’s Winning Group Arena this weekend.

The artist last performed at Metronome in 2017, when the festival was still held at the Holešovice Exhibition Grounds. Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which is moving to Letňany to accommodate larger crowds.

“Although he’s one of the world’s most iconic musicians, Sting is known for his calm and modest approach backstage. Before shows, he usually drinks ginger tea and does yoga,” Pojzl added.

While the Saturday headliner has already been confirmed as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, details for Friday’s lineup are still under wraps.
