A foreign motorcyclist was killed on Saturday afternoon in a road crash on British Bases territory, on the M1 main road in Akrotiri.

According to information obtained by the website, a foreign driver had stopped at a stall selling strawberries and then attempted to leave by making a U-turn.

The car allegedly cut across the path of an oncoming motorcycle carrying two people, causing a violent collision.

The motorcycle driver died in the crash, while his female passenger was injured.

Both were wearing full protective gear.
