A highly serious incident has caused disruption surrounding the 2026 World Cup after Mexican authorities discovered a body inside the trunk of an abandoned vehicle a short distance from the stadium where the Iranian national team is training in Tijuana.

According to reports, police officers located a grey SUV with California licence plates in a supermarket parking lot directly across from the Caliente Stadium. During their inspection of the vehicle, they found a body wrapped in a black bag that bore clear signs of violence.
