HAVANA TIMES — I have always been curious about the posters or signs people use to announce a sale or an exchange; or simply to voice a complaint and point out something they don’t like when their voices are not being heard.

For some time now, I’ve been struck by how, in Cuba, an endless variety of materials are used to make signs — on walls, cardboard, cans, and more.

Here in my town of Cojimar and in different parts of the city of Havana, all kinds of signs are everywhere. This time, I’m sharing some curious and even amusing photos of what people create with whatever materials they have at hand.
