Sparse rainfall in the capital…

By Adrian Fuentes

HAVANA TIMES – The last 24 hours, the passage of a surface trough produced isolated showers over Havana, with insignificant accumulations. Over the coming days, the trough will weaken and move into the Gulf of Mexico, maintaining humid air over the western region, which will continue to encourage isolated rain in the capital.

Under these conditions, the forecast calls for a mostly clear dawn in the capital. By late morning it will be partly cloudy, with occasional cloudiness persisting in areas along the northern coast accompanied by isolated showers, which will extend to inland areas during the afternoon. Winds will be from the northeast to east, between 10 and 25 kilometers per hour. Relative humidity will range from 70% to 90%. High temperatures will range between 27 and 30°C (81–86°F) and lows between 17 and 19°C (63–66°F). Sea surface temperature will be 28°C (82°F).

In the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico, no tropical cyclone development is expected in the next 12 to 24 hours.
